THESE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVOURITE THINGS

2018 has been our busiest year yet… These are a few of our favourite events so far.

We kicked off the new year with the launch of Sweaty Betty’s bum-sculpting ‘Zero Gravity’ leggings. To mark the occasion, the activewear brand assembled some of the best bums in town including @londonpaleogirl, @foodfitnessflora and @gabrielladarlington for a super workout with @missjaninegeorge – #newyearnewrear…

Health and wellness has been a feature of the Carousel calendar this year. Back in Feb we were thrilled to play host to the launch of Elemis’ all new Superfood Skincare System, which has all the ingredients you need to feed the skin from the outside in. Our production company, Shuttlecock Inc, worked their magic, bringing the #feedyourskin message to life by creating an imaginative superfood universe in our Next Door space, cleverly combining fresh fruit and veg with the new range in retro fridges and planting a stunning living wall.

Later that month we hosted the wonderful folks from Atout France for a series of special events across both buildings, including the agency’s annual awards. The aim? To re-ignite the UK’s love affair with France as a holiday destination by imaginatively invoking the five senses. And that’s exactly what they did… The #feel fortnight featured guest chef residencies in our restaurant from Anthony Orjollet of award-winning Biarritz hotspot, Elements, and seafood maestro Julien Hennote of Le Pourquoi Pas at Castelbrac. Brittany. Meanwhile, Next Door, we exhibited a wonderful exhibition by French artist and photographer Maia Flore entitled ‘Imagine France by the Sea’. The result? A multi-sensory celebration of France in all its Gallic glory. Allez allez!

And last*, but not least, we provided the venue (and an enthusiastic brigade of talented sous chefs) for the fantastic Dr Rupy Aujla (AKA The Doctor’s Kitchen) who partnered with Times+ for a one-off ticketed event tackling the subject of Lifestyle Medicine and the importance of community in our busy lives. Rupy’s talk was followed by a family-style feast of healthy and delicious recipes from his book. Such a dude. We can’t wait to have him back.
