Carousel x Art
As well as just about every type of event under the sun, our spaces also play host to a revolving line up of exhibitions from some of this city’s most talented young artists. It should come as no surprise that art is a big deal for us and supporting up-and-coming artists with our spaces is only just the start. We’ve been collaborating with an amazing line up of painters, photographers, art dealers and galleries in-house and off-site across all areas of Carousel…

From Oleg Tolstoy’s dark portraits of night drivers one month to Hannah Brown’s brooding landscapes the next, to Payne Shurvell’s delightful, head-turning showcase of Andrew Curtis’ “Garage Doors”, we’re constantly swept off our feet by the intriguing pieces that are brought our way.

In keeping with the Carousel way, these works of art are another testament to the versatility of our offering, as they go from centre-stage at private views to offering a little something special to the backdrop of the variety of events we offer, be it a private dinner or networking reception.

It’s no wonder therefore that we’re often approached by some of London’s top galleries to take care of their events. In recent months we’ve welcomed our friends from the wonderful Pilar Corrias to our spaces for a private dinner, and when our neighbours at the Lisson Gallery were looking to treat their guests to an exquisite meal in celebration of a new exhibition, our talented kitchen team took their expertise round the corner, offering their own flavourful artistry to the night.

And how about our ventures further a-field? We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with Tate Modern to bring three of the Carousel kitchen’s hall-of-famers to the iconic art gallery over three consecutive weekends. Showcasing our open kitchen ethos at their stunning L9 restaurant are three of our all-time favourites: sushi legend Shaun Presland, Nikkei masters Cooking In Motion and avant-garde Mexican Santiago Lastra Rodríguez, are teaming up with Tate’s team and our own for an unmissable three-way collaboration that shines a light on London’s status as one of the world’s most diverse food capitals. Head to the Tate website for more info and to grab a seat.
