When Mr and Mrs Smith chose Carousel as the venue for their 2017 Best Hotel Awards, we saw it as a brilliant opportunity to get creative and throw an unforgettable party for them. Our versatile events spaces in Marylebone fit the bill for all sorts of promotions, receptions and parties, and our Central London location means Carousel is easy to get to at any time of the day. When we knew what the hotel experts were after, there was no doubt that our spacious, industrial Downstairs space was the perfect venue for the event. They were looking for a more intimate setting than in previous years, but still wanted the party to be one to remember, so we pulled out all the stops to make sure it was just that.

The Carousel team created a canapé menu inspired by the global flavours of the nominees and worked with Sipsmith to design a cocktail that guests could have a go at making themselves.

Meanwhile, on the production side of things, Shuttlecock Inc  had all bases covered, bringing Mr and Mrs Smith’s quirky award categories to life through set design and immersive elements for everyone to get involved with.

Guests could choose from a selection of herbs and spices to create their own olive oil infusions at the Pool With a View set…

…before hanging out with the world’s hottest sauna survivors at the Most Spoiling Spa.

Once our in-sauna actors had ensured the party-goers were adequately steamy, they then donned toweling robes and found themselves in the World’s Sexiest Bedroom…

…before returning to the Best Date Night Bar, for cocktails, canapés and, of course, the much anticipated awards.
