Food & Drink
As ever, we’re going all out this year with an imaginative seasonal menu that’s big on technique and even bigger on flavour.
Incorporating some rather fantastic ideas of our own with influences from our all-time favourite guest chefs, dishes like ‘Raw Cornish Scallop, Turnip, Green Almond and Clementine’, ‘Homemade Sourdough Crumpets with Baron Bigod and Walnut Ketchup’ and ‘Caramelised Pear and Brown Butter Cake with Liquorice Ice Cream’ are what this time of year should be all about. Not convinced? Just wait for the mains… ‘Roast Duck and Crapaudine Heirloom Beetroot’, ‘Confit Sea Trout, Mussels and Chard’ or ‘Celeriac, Pumpkin and Sprout Top Schnitzel with Truffle Purée’, all served with a trio of tasty sides (‘Smoked Brown Butter Potato Cakes’ anyone?). Our most refined and decadent Christmas offering yet, this year is all about the joy of the finest British ingredients placed in the hands of a talented young team who count Kitchen Table, River Café, Clove Club and Moro among their alma maters.
Production
Carousel isn’t just a venue. As well as providing stylish surroundings featured in design magazines like Dezeen and Wallpaper*, we also have the tools and the know-how to produce spectacular events of all different shapes and sizes, all done in-house and to the highest standard, thoughtfully and creatively.
This year, we’re going for a stripped-back vibe that’s big on raw, elemental materials like wood, concrete and mild steel. Paired with flickering candles, plenty of foliage and gorgeous table dressings, the cosy, wintry feel will provide the perfect backdrop for the evening’s entertainment and the ideal canvas for our mouth-watering menus. Hygge, lagom, gezellig… Whatever you choose to call it, that’s what we’re bringing to the party this Christmas.

As well as being named one of the capital’s foremost Christmas party venues at the 2018 London Venue Awards, we also scooped ‘Best Venue Team’ at the 2018 Campaign Event Awards, something we’re incredibly proud of.

Added Extras
We may be going all out on the food this year but there’s a lot more to Christmas at Carousel than tasty-as-all-hell cooking alone. We’ve also lined up a whole bunch of different added extras to take your party from ‘we won’t be forgetting that in a hurry’ to ‘Mind. Blown’, all of which synch seamlessly with the natural flow of the evening for maximum experiential impact.
Why not learn how to shake your favourite cocktails while you get into the party mood (“one for me, one for you…”) or try your hand at wreath making or modern calligraphy? Forget the last minute dash to Cards Galore, this year’s Secret Santa should be all about craft. You can also go for the wine pairing, featuring carefully-chosen, lesser-known varieties from some of our favourite independent growers. And then there’s karaoke… Because it’s Christmas and we know you’ve been practicing Mariah in the shower for the past twelve months.
