Brand activation for Singah Beer at Carousel

Singha Beer

Client brief: To promote Singha beer by creating an exciting New Year (Songkran) celebration to rival Chinese New Year.
What we did: Shuttlecock Inc brought the streets of Thailand’s most famous northern city Chiang Mai to the Downstairs space at Carousel. Set-build included small local shops and street cafes and bars serving northern Thai dishes and Singha beer. Lanterns, bird cages and parasols hung above the cafe seating area. After eating, guests could make a wishing lantern and set it off down the wishing stream. At 9pm a confetti cannon exploded white and gold paper to mark the start of the water fight and guests were given their own confetti cannons to get involved in the festivities.
What they ate: Grilled mackerel, hot and sour tamarind, sorrel and green papaya. Steamed chicken curry with holy basil, lemon grass and coriander root. Fragrant minced pork, Thai mint, chilli, lime and peanuts.
What they drank: Singha beer and THE CHANTASARACK cocktail (a coconut milk infused rum cocktail).
Who came: Food and drink press and people looking for a fun time.

Lynx Re-Launch

Client brief: To create a luxury product launch event for the rebrand of Lynx as a fragrance, aligning the brand with a more mature and aspirational market.
What we did: Shuttlecock Inc designed and installed a luxury male grooming room and cocktail bar in Carousel's Upstairs space. Guests had canapés and bowl food which were served on platters inspired by each of the fragrance lines such as chunky maple boards and copper plates. Guests then headed to the ground floor restaurant for a bespoke menu. A 3-course supper which incorporated flavours from Lynx's new fragrance collection. As a final reveal, guests moved to the Downstairs space which was lit only by starlight until each plinth was individually lit up to reveal that the launch was for Lynx. Waiters circulated with Lynx fragrance-inspired cocktails whilst product developers talked guests through the scents that were carefully selected for each cologne.
What they ate: Ginger and kombu cured bream, pickled ginger, ponzu dipping sauce. Braised and smoked beef brisket, grilled spring onions, confit tomato, white beans and aioli. Rhubarb marinated in vanilla, caramel and fennel ice cream, rhubarb sponge.
What they drank: Dark Vanilla Marini, Moscow Mule, Tobacco Old fashioned, Oudh wood Smoked Tea, Iced Musk Colins

Instagram Breakfast Presentation

Client brief: When Instagram were looking for a cool, foodie-related venue for a breakfast presentation they looked no further than Carousel.
What we did: Collaborating with Instagram phenomenon @SymmetryBreakfast (443k followers), we devised a beautiful, bespoke and plentiful breakfast menu and guests enjoyed barista-made coffee and smoothies in our stripped back, industrial restaurant before heading Upstairs for an inspirational presentation led by the founder of the company Kevin Systrom.
What they ate: Blueberry pancakes with maple cured bacon, homemade gluten-free granola bars and hot salmon, dill and capers served on rye-bread.
Who came: Fragrance, male grooming and lifestyle press, London's VIP digital media journalists and bloggers.
