MAC Training Day

Client brief: Cult, global make-up brand MAC were searching for a central London venue to host a celebratory workshop and ‘artistry’ master class to train new employees hired for the new Carnaby Street flagship store.
What we did: Taking over all three floors, the MAC events team installed a professional stage, lighting and film crew streamed a live video-feed of the make-up demos onto large 60-inch plasma screens. As MAC needed additional space for the styling of their models, they also hired our Upstairs space, making it a full day, MAC makeover-takeover at Carousel!
What they ate: MAC’s refreshments and catering were served in our stripped-back, industrial restaurant and attendees enjoyed homemade breakfast canapés, unlimited teas and coffees, a buffet-style lunch and afternoon cake.
Who came: 80 MAC make-up experts and 2 celebrity make-up artists.

ADJUST YOUR SET PRESENTATION

Client brief: Our large and versatile Downstairs space was perfect for marketing agency Adjust Your Set to host an informal presentation as the room comes with high-spec projector, WiFi and a flexible lighting-rig.
What we did: Fifty of Adjust Your Set’s carefully selected creative influencers sat cabaret-style around our trestle tables made from reclaimed wood to listen to speeches by key-industry leaders and watch short films relating to content marketing.
What they ate: Our talented team of in-house chefs provided a delicious buffet-style lunch and baked homemade madeleines for their afternoon break.
Who came: 50 Adjust Your Set employees.

PINK LADY BLOGGER’S WORKSHOP

Client brief: Pink Lady® apple brand hosted a food photography workshop to educate bloggers on how to use natural light to shoot food products for social media.
What we did: They fell in love with our Scandy-style Upstairs space, with windows on two sides, white walls and polished concrete floors.
What they ate: For this all-day event, our chefs and events team created an entirely bespoke menu – each dish and drink incorporating Pink Lady apples. Guests enjoyed Appletinis and confit of pork belly with mustard pickled Pink Lady and potato puree whilst learning photography tips from top food-stylist and photographer Charlie Richards.
Who came: 65 of London’s top food bloggers and journalists.
